Walk to Studio

So I've been working on this series of pictures for like a week to show the way I walk to studio every day. I kept forgetting to take them so that's why it took so long, and apparently I've misplaced my picture of Campo dei Fiori so I'll have to get back to you with that one. :) However, finally, here is my walk to studio:

1. Home

2. Piazza San Cosimato

3. Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere (the area I live in)

4. Ponte Sisto (the pedestrian bridge across the Tiber)

5. Should be Campo dei Fior

6. Piazza Navona
Our studio is directly behind the dome of the church (Sant'Agnese in Agone)

Travel, Travel, Travel

Here is a picture of the sandals I got in Anacapri! The guy, Antonio Viva, made them by hand!

I feel like I have been so busy this week! Today we went to Villa Farnese in Caprarola and Villa Lante, which is in a small town whose name I don't remember. :) The houses, or casini, were beautiful, but the gardens were magnificent... straight out of a movie! Not to mention, it was a beautiful day! I think the pictures are pretty self-explanatory...

Villa Farnese

Villa Lante

Needless to say, pretty good day as far as scenery and traveling go. Tomorrow's a studio day so I probably will not have much to report. However, the weekend should be full of traveling and sightseeing... :)

Aftershock!

So literally about five minutes ago, we just experienced an aftershock from the major earthquake. The entire apartment started swaying; I thought Ashley was just moving the table or something. Now I can say I've experienced an earthquake, and in Italy! Craziness...

We're going to Villa Lante tomorrow on our Wednesday field trip so I will hopefully have lots of pictures in tomorrow's post. :)
